The Mental Health Of High School Students

Dr. Tony Sam George was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and has been a faculty in the Montfort College and Sampurna Counseling Center in Bangalore, teaching, training and supervising post graduate students in Holistic and Psychological Counseling. In the following piece, he dwells on the emerging trends in addressing mental concerns in
schools.

Dr. Tony seeks to communicate that the world today is an adult dominated environment where life skills programmes is the only thing that could alleviate children from exploitation , conformity and stress. He talks about the need for more comprehensive programmes in schools and the need for schools to invest in training staff. Dr. Tony believes that advancing in technology is very important for all schools.
