Benefitting from the Corporate culture in Schools
The Institute of Leadership and Institutional Development (ILID) is a non profit organization lending a hand to other organizations of similar principles. It is a known fact that NGOs spring from an inner desire to serve and alleviate the community from a wide range of economic and societal hardships. People who initiate organizations with this kind of an altruistic, non- profit agenda, are not necessarily people who are well- versed in strategic management. It was this understanding that set in motion the efforts of Dr. G.K. Jayaram, to initiate a facility whereby non- profit organizations could gain structure, strategy and result oriented focus.
Dr. G. K. Jayaram has a very experienced and noteworthy background. His educational qualifications are impressive to say the least; he has done his B.Sc. from Bangalore University and moved on to become a gold medalist in IIM; only to add a PHD from UCLA to his credit. His professional experience is again nothing to take lightly; he was the first chairman of INFOSYS Technologies. ILID seeks to provide guidance in leadership and to inject a sense of professionalism and realism in the NGO sector. ILID assists a large number of NGO’s including organizations dealing with the betterment of youth like Akshara Patra Foundation, Saathi and many more.
