Basant Kumar Birla and his wife Dr. Saraladevi Birla are overwhelmingly happy that the Birla family has invested so much in building schools in this country. They believe this is the greatest investment any true Indian could make.

To date, we must have constructed about 200 schools / educational institutions approximately in India and abroad.  The greatest number of schools are based in our home town Pilani and adjacent to our industries and factories all over the world.  In Pilani alone there are about ten educational institutions and among them BITS is perhaps one of the best institutions of its kind in the country.
