Celebrityspeak - When uniforms make statements!

"Oh I love expressing my fashion statement through my school uniform as well," said young Priti in her early teens. Statements such as this and more prodded MENTOR to go on an analysis of this polarizing issue of uniforms with Schools. On one hand you come across school officials and educators who have a strong say while defining the uniform pattern for their respective schools. On the other side you have kids and teens redefining their looks with the pattern of uniform set by the School. Sandwiched between various views and definitions of uniforms; MENTOR spoke to none less than the eminent fashion designer Manoviraj Khosla on his style statement on uniforms..

Feature - Fruit, Vegetable and Grains!

Exercise in modern days seems to have found a connotation in the word 'chore'. Paradoxically this is how many of us perceive exercise to be, a mere chore. Dr. Anju Ghei , Vice President, Fitness, VLCC in this exclusive to MENTOR says, "Why not undo this thinking? Why not give exercise another name? Let us call it 'being healthy'!" Exercise and keeping fit can actually be fun, at times a social networking and need not be a hassle. In the process of having all this fun one may actually tone-up, along with feeling really good, sleeping better and having more energy.

I'm Concerned - Enhance the lesson, not lead it!

"We often hear that seasoned actors often suffer stage fright before a performance. Why? This is because there is always a risk associated with standing out from the crowd and speaking your piece; whether that piece has been written by another or is the product of your own imagination." Ian Chambers, Regional Manager, University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) South Asia writes to MENTOR on the appropriate use of audiovisual aids in the classroom.
