You do all you can to rid yourself of the Math Monster and it bludgeons its way into the mall, your living room and even squeezes the fun out of your video games. Math Monster has taken up permanent residence in many a student’s permanent nightmare. What it uses is mind control and homo sapiens are ready to concede defeat.

HOLD ON! Sundaram Subbharatnam, Principal of Atul Vidyalaya, Valsad,  is here. Deeply interested in Primary Math Education, Educational Leadership & Management, he works with teachers on enabling children learn Primary Mathematics through manipulating activity materials. But first things first – what’s an IIT, IIM graduate doing in the field of academics when he could be storming the citadels of commerce and power? He has got his priorities right; he has also turned Monster Math into a mermaid. These are only two of the many reasons for which Subbharatnam has been elected Cover Principal of the month.
