A national summit on how to bring professionalism into Indian schools

“Schools of the 21st century will turn from buildings into nerve centres with walls that are porous and transparent; they will be connecting teachers, students and the community to the wealth of knowledge that exists in the world. The core purpose of a school will be to enable students to learn how to prepare for life.” – VIP Educators from all around India converged at Bangalore to give high school education the much-needed shot in the aching arm. A MENTOR report by Jacqueline Olivia

The National Summit on Quality Education organised at the convention centre in NIMHANS, Bangalore, by CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) in September was attended by 450 principals, educators, NGOs and educators from across India. The objective was to come to a consensus on how the school in India can be run as a more professional organization.
